(manned guarding, patrolling and alarm systems monitoring services), Brink's Aviation Security Services S.A. The company's first stock was sold in 1879 as "Brink's Express Company," but the simpler name wasn't widely used until 1919 when the first non-Chicago Brink's branch was opened in Cleveland.
In 1927, Brink's logos began appearing on trucks and facilities that had previously been unmarked in a new strategy to deter robberies. "Money and Valuables, Safety and Dispatch" frequently bracketed the older shield logo, underscoring the company's increasing reputation for secure transportation.
1982: Brink's begins its activity in Greece, with Alarm Monitoring Receiving Center services and Hermes Security is founded, providing Security Services. In 1985, Brink's starts providing Alarm system installation and maintenance services.
1987: The company commences the provision of Patrol Services using six specially modified vehicles, covering large areas of Attica.
1994: Hermes Securitransport is founded with participation of Brink's US. The company provides Money Transfer Services, using for the first time in Greece, twelve brand new armoured vehicles brought from France and Italy. The Brink's - Hermes Group relocates to the centre of Athens, in new standard facilities, with a 2,000 sqrm parking area.
1996: The company's expands its activity in Greece with a new stores in Patras and Thessaloniki.
2000: The Access Control and Patrol Services of Greece's new international airport in Spata, is awarded through an international open tender to Brink's - Hermes. Hermes Aviation Security Services is established and is also awarded the contract for the Automated Baggage Screening Services of the airport.
2004: Brink's Inc. acquires all the shares of the Brink's Group - Hermes. Brink's service network is expanded with stores in Heraklion, Chania, Corfu, Ioannina, Kozani, Mytilene, Rhodes and Kalamata. Brink's armoured vehicle fleet now exceeds 100.
2005: Event Security Services are launched and Brink's is chosen by the biggest sports clubs in Greece to cover their events. The 2007 Champions League 2007 final between AC Milan and Liverpool FC in Athens is serviced by Brink's, with more than 1,000 employees, successfully taking care of its security.
2011: After an international public tender, Brink's Greece is awarded the Aviation Security Services of the 6 largest regional airports in Greece (Thessaloniki, Heraklion, Chania, Corfu, Rhodes and Kos). In the same year, Brink's Hellas is awarded the title "True Leader".
2012: Brink's installs its first smart safe (Compusafe), marking the launch of Retail Cash Management Solutions in Greece. Brink's opens its store in Chios and then in Samos.
2017: Brink's takes over the provision of security services at all Fraport cluster B airports.
2021: Brink's takes over the provision of security services at vaccination centres throughout the country.
2022: Brink's takes over the provision of security services at the Accommodation / Temporary Reception Facilities for Migrants in Northern Greece
